After several years off the grid, Capoeria Topazio is pleased to invite all capoeristas in Arizona to our annual Batizado Roda 2022.
The ceremony of Batizado and Troca de Corda (Baptism and exchange of cords), is time for the students to show everything they have learnt through the year to earn their first cord. For the more experience students, it’s time to keep learning and growing within the world of capoeira until they are ready to earn their new cord.
This year, we are honored to have Mestre Rudson as our special guest. Mestre Rudson, son of our "Grande Mestre Dinho", is currently head lead of Grupo Topazio world wide, based in Salvador, Brazil and Leida, Spain.
We invite all capoeristas in the valley to participate in our Open Roda and Troca de corda on Sunday October 30th and our capoeira workshops by Mestre Rudson on Monday (Oct 30th) and Tuesday (Nov 1st).
Rodas and Workshops will be held at the CHANDLER MARTIAL ART CENTER located at 1992 N. Alma School Rd, Chandler, Az.
Participation on Sunday's workshops and open roda is free of charge, however, we would like to ask our guest to bring new Toys or Blankets to donate to the children hospital. Cash donations are also welcome to help us work around the event expenses.
Monday and Tuesday workshops are open to all groups and levels, and will have a cost of $25 per day.
All capoeristas must wear white pant and capoeira shirt to participate in workshops and rodas. Students without uniform can bring any white sweat pants and non-stamped shirts.
Please note, out of respect to Mestre and all our guests, it will not be possible to participate in the events in shorts.
All people planning to come from out of state, please send us information of when and how many people will be coming, in order to try to look for free place to stay. Please use the "Contac-us" from in this site, or contact Instructor Kino directly.
